Brave soldiers of the Golden Plains, I call for your services yet again.
Not many creatures cast more grim a shadow than that of a black dragon. Spewing forth acid and corrupting the land they travel, it has been said that the mere presence of a creature is enough to drive even the boldest of men to the brink of insanity. One such creature was sighted this past weekend making way for Nightglade. It will arrive by this Sunday. Many of our nobles will be there as they gather to discuss important matters of state. We must protect them! Please, citizens, I urge you to gather your courage and defend our nobles and new citizens. We cannot let the other kingdoms see our weakness in handling this dragon menace! Defend our kingdom's honor and prevent this monstrosity from bringing an eternal darkness to Nightglade!

Greetings citizens of the Golden Plains, I am pleased to inform you that the black dragon was not successful in thwarting our important discussion. Even though cultists joined the dragon's cause and sought to kidnap our nobles, we were able to repel them with the help of an unknown entity. This person was able to activate a particular magical item. As I have been informed, Crow from Nightglade met in secret with this arcanist to construct an item that would aid in defeat of the dragon. Due to her initiative and the bravery of our soldiers, we were able to defeat the dragon. After a long arduous battle, the item was activated and it released a mystic energy into the air. This energy coalesced into a beam of brilliant light which sought out the dragon and utterly destroyed it. With the support and funding of the nobles, more of these items will be created in defense of the kingdom. Honor to Nightglade and glory to the kingdom of the Golden Plains!
