Can some one give me examples of a reach weapon.
They are things like Pole Arms, Great Swords, and things correct?
Reach Weapon
Reach slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning weapons more than
48 inches up to a maximum of 60 inches. The pommel and handle
of the weapon can be no longer than 1/3 of the weapon’s total
length. If used to slash or bludgeon, at least 2/3 of its length must be
strike legal.
Pole arm At least five feet in length. Includes spears but may also have
slashing edges (minimum 1 foot in length for a striking edge, must have padding
on upper 1/3 of length). Considered wooden for purposes of being targeted by
spells or affecting monsters.
Pretty self explanitory!!

as easy as looking at the rulebook is.. this is the discussion forum where people bring up what they want to discuss Hern didn't ask for someone to recite the rules to him of what a reach weapon was he simply askd
a Spear can have the 6inches needed for the stab tip but also needs Padding
2 Padding: This refers to the portion of the weapon that has at least half an inch of foam over the weapon core and is designed to
limit the injuries done from accidental contact with that part of the weapon.
Reach is an open category. Which is used to describe what class's Can use a Reach weapon only Raider in v7.2 is said to be able to use Reach weapons however that doesn't keep a Monk from useing a 5foot polearm because its conciderd reach and not under his weapon alotment..

and the answer should be examples of reach weapons such as Staffs , Spears , great clubs , Great Swords, Glaives, Halberds, as long as its between the 48 inches (4 feet) and 60inches (5 Feet)meets the requirements of being "Reach" Weapon its a reach weapon... As for spears its still conciderd a Reach weapon but also is more defined in the Spear category as to what a spear should be constructed piercing tip with padding etc etc..SirHern wrote:Can some one give me examples of a reach weapon.
