Gathering of the Clans - July 22-26, 2009
For those interested (and that includes pretty much all of you), the dates for The Gathering of the Clans have been announced.
Please mark your calendars for July 22 - July 26, 2009 and plan to be at Lake Bonito (Just outside Ruidoso, NM). This is the usual Clan site for those who have already been there.
Clan is easily one of the most fun Amtgard events to attend and it is the one event that Golden Plains chooses to support with our time, money, and attendance. If you attend, the chances are high that you'll have a great time. (Assuming we're not flooded out by a hurricane again) If you choose not to attend, you will regret your decision. Don't be that guy.
I'll post the schedule, fees, maps, etc. as soon as I get the info.

Well...not *all* the campsites yet. Ironically, I hear that Archon camp is still demolished. =) That being said though, it's amazing how quickly they were able to get back in and repair the site.Wretch wrote:Major kudos to Lincoln Nation Forest and the city of Alamogordo for being able to repair all the damage that the rain caused all the camp sites in the area in less than a year's time.
Wretch, I hope you and the Hand are planning to attend this year. Kinda sucked not having you guys in your normal spot last year.

It was weird not having our usual spot. Hindsight 20/20 though, it made our bug out on Saturday morning alot easier. When we heard how bad it got on Sunday, the person I felt the worst for was the guy on Merchant Row who was selling the homemade rootbeers and sodas. Drake and I were talking to the guy and found out he was at a monetary loss by Friday and was really hopeful that Saturday and Sunday would help him make a profit. I hope he was able to recover and thinks about coming back to a hurricane influence free Clan, his booth was one of the highlights by far.Moonshadow wrote:Wretch, I hope you and the Hand are planning to attend this year.
