7.12 Subgroup officers shall be known by their titles, as listed below:

Each office other than Monarch will be preceded by their group level name, e.g. Shire PM or Kingdom Regent.

7.13 Monarchs of the subgroups may grant all of the orders and credits, with the following limitations and exceptions:

Thoughts or viewpoints?

My thoughts on 7.12 - The fact is that no field in Golden Plains is even close to attaining Grand Duchy numbers. No reason we can't bring it back however in the very welcome scenario that one of our provinces attains those populace numbers.

My thoughts on 7.13 - There are three different scenarios I believe we can go with at the moment.

1. Shires can award up to 3rd level awards as proposed by Arch Duke Sir Boots and Lady Squire Callandra. Emerald Hills also has a similar award process for their Shires.

2. We can lower the amount Baronies can award to 4. This isn't my first option, but it does put all the award brackets into an even number pattern (2 for Shire, 4 for Barony, 6 for County, 8 for Duchy) and still gives Baronies double the level of awards that they could have previously awarded.

3. Keep the current proposal as is.

So that everyone understands the logic behind the current proposal.
Under the May 1999 GP corpora which covered up to the point of the change to the system we have in place, we used the 2-5-8 method for awards. Additionally the two dominated award systems in the game are 2-5-8 or 3-5-7. We wanted to give a little more bonus for the hard work that it takes to get the growth to go up a groups size, particularly the last ten people to get to a Duchy.

As we are the only Kingdom that uses Counties, and the populace showed a strong desire to retain it, we place it as a step just above Barony.

Additionally, with the awards standardization be a main concern for the change, we wanted to maintain the Barony giving up to 5th order standard. The level of awards given at park levels is not governed by the awards standardization, but the spirit of the document is to standardize the paths to knighthood, and while one can be knighted regasrdless of awards, the framework used to guide those on that path is just as important.

In regards to elevating the Shire level to 3 rather than 2, I can see the benefit of the idea, but I am pretty much neutral on the matter. I think either is a step in the right direction.

And Wrecth, I am not ignoring the even spaced idea, but I have another issue I will be posting soon that will better clarify at least my stance on this issue.
