Althing Minutes for Saturday, February 14, 2015

Althing started: 1400 (2pm) by Regent Uther Retheu Ironfist
Minutes taken by PM Crow of Nightglade.
A: OLD BUSINESS
1: Nightglade finished its year, wants to be considered permanent chapter of GP
-Was audit turned in?
-No. Per BL corpora, not required to do so.
-Have met all requirements, qualify by both corporas
-Show great potential for growth
-Constantly active; Nightgladers at multiple events
-Went to outer Kingdom event
-Hodor
-Motion to accept NG as permanent part of GP
-SECONDED by Fister, Cathan, Barbie, Dawn, Crow
-EXTRA NOTE: NG has at least 5 dues paid members present at althing
-Unanimous vote to accept NG as permanent chapter of GP
-NIGHTGLADE, WELCOME TO THE KINGDOME OF THE GOLDEN PLAINS!!!
2: Althing last weekend
-BL Corpora
-On Jan 1, @ 9 Willows/Dark Oasis joint althing, it was motioned for all rules suspended and to go with BL Corpora
-NPO Status: Unknown
-Discussion on BL Corpora
-Both chapters say no to play testing
B: OLD BUSINESS
1: Fister has a proposal
-Add Order of the Bowman (ladder system)
-Would be a new award
-Why add it in? (asked by another player present)
-Already have Warlords
-Makes it meaningful to be an archer
-But, we already have Paragon status, which is proof that somebody is one of the best in a class and can take on apprentices. If an archer dominates the field as an archer, s/he can become Paragon
-READ RULEBOOK
-Local and Kingdom monarchs can create titles
-Any other discussion on the matter? No.
2: Elizabeth
-Uther needs help naming new park?
-Uther: No. Don’t worry about it yet.
-Elf vs Barbarian conversation between Dawn and Uther
3: Dawn
-Proposal to change sashes because of similarities
-Wizard and reeve, monk and monster too similar of colors
-Would have to be suggested to Amtgard
-As King, Uther can bring it up
-One way to tell the difference is to see the shiny. Gold is different from yellow, silver is different from gray; also, reeves won’t have weapons

-Motion for 30 days to end BL corpora play test
-Seconded by Dawn, Barbie, Cathan
-Kesic will get copy of our corpora
-already on the webpage
-access to money without asking for it?
-When we get our own corpora, we can put it in (regarding funds)
-Kingdom corpora trumps field corpora
-2nd proposal: Monday, Uther will put up updated GP corpora
-Is fixed, will make more sense
-Play test it? Yes

3: ANNOUNCEMENTS
1: Kingdom Coronation
-Uther will return to throne as King
-First run for Wyo Brannigan (sp. Both parts of name?) as Regent
-Has good ideas
-Stepped up by own choice (“I volunteer as tribute”)
-Good person in general
-Event is next weekend at Coleman Park in Brownfield, TX
-Starts @ noon
-$10/person, $5/kid

-Open docket, talk to Uther
-Camping trip
-Single firepit
-City of Brownfield agreed to temporarily lift fire ban to allow use of a single firepit
-City of Brownfield is really excited about this event taking place
-Is bending over backwards to help us out and get everything situated
-Police will be patrolling the area
-Is only charging $100 for feast hall
-Feast hall off limits during day
-NO ALCOHOL!!!!! THIS IS A DRY EVENT!!!!!
-KEEP AREA CLEAN!!!!
-We want to maintain good relations with Brownfield
-Because of general uncleanliness, etc., at past locations, we have lost favor with many towns and cities who will hang up the phone at the mere mention of Amtgard
-Brownfield is a promising area, very much like the Corn Maze area
-Would like to use Brownfield for future events
2: Spring War
-Next month is Spring War
-Jill Godmode is working her ass off
-$35 fee, includes feast
-Food, games, space for 4,000 people
-Cabins might be available
-12 person bunks
-$250
-Restroom and nice showers
-CK Ambassadors would like to repair relations between CK and GP
-Sign up for gate duty
-People still needed to volunteer and sign up
-Same weekend as Dystopia Rising
-Brisket
-Blackwolf will be cooking 3 pigs
-Beer pong tournament
3: Nightglade
-Yay! Officially part of the Kingdome of the Golden Plains!!
4: As of Jan althing, vote in March althing was supposed to be in Irongate, now Lamesa
-Same time as Spring War
