Kingdom Althing on December 13th, 2015

Kingdom Althing in Lubbock, Tx at the Duchy of Irongate. Opened by King Bearrug at 3:39pm

Old Business:
Dark Oasis was demoted by the November Kingdom althing per the request of the Populace of Dark Oasis. No motion was made to change this decision. Previous althing decision remains.

Dues increase to $10 for 6 months was voted in during the November Kingdom Althing. No motion was made to change this decision. Previous althing decision remains.

Uther brought up more information on his ongoing project for Kingdom as assigned to him by the August althing. A bank account in the Kingdom’s name is now a possibility. Wells Fargo will be able to open the account per the August Kingdom althings request. Sir Doughboy will be an opening member as he sits on the executive committee. Uther will be added as an owner of the account to fulfill his August appointment as a trustee to the bank account. If Kingdom maintains a $500 daily balance and uses electronic banking over paper, the monthly maintenance cost of the account will be $0. Sir Otto has been contacted to get a copy of the Kingdom’s EIN which is a requirement for this account. Uther reminds everyone that he is in possession of $571 dollars of Kingdom’s money to get the account opened with. Next updates will be at the next Kingdom Althing.

Per the November althing, Kingdom financial statements will be available for viewing at the Corpora change althings. Any dues paid member may ask for a financial total from the Current Kingdom PM whenever they wish. No motion was made to change this decision. Previous althing decision remains.

New Business:

King Bearrug and Princess Vansmorial are looking for a volunteer to serve as an Organizer for Sir Godlcrest’s new initiative called the “Amtgard Spring Muster.” If anyone needs information please review Goldcrests request on the Kingdom FB group posed on 12-11-15 or contact King Bearrug or Princess Vansmorial at your convenience.

Kingdom GMR Sir Doughboy has stepped down at Kingdom GMR. Uther nominated Ryuuin to replace him, the motion was seconded by Duke Tanis.

Sir Ryuujin is now the Kingdom GMR for the rest of this winter reign.

A discussion was held concerning Dark Oasis and Darkwater Hollow’s inactivity and lack of ORK usage. As the ORK is being used to generate our average Kingdom populace the two chapters not reporting and not meeting even shire numbers currently are dropping the average. It was discussed that no one wants either chapter punished during their hardships at all. Both chapters are still wanted in the Kingdom.

Princess Vansmorial makes a proposal to sit on the Waiting period for 30 days. Her proposal is to drop Dark Oasis and Darkwater Hollow from the Amtgard ORK until they can regroup and rebuild themselves. This will be on the docket for voting at the next Kingdom Althing.

Discussion was had on Grab and how it pertains to GP currently. Garb in GP will remain as the rulebook requires currently until it changed. All four Kingdom officers present will enforce it.

A proposal for Sir Monkey was placed on the docket for consideration. Sir Monkey would like to only have Kingdom althings once every 3 months.

Announcements:

Princess Vansmorial noted that she would like to have a hand-made feast utensils competition at the next Kingdom Coronation. She proposes that the 1st place winner will receive a tunic made by King Bearrug, 2nd place will receive amtgard pants in either a tye-dye or pink color made by Princess Vansmorial and 3rd prize will be a proggy kit.

Princess Vansmorial would like to remind the populace that the next Kingdom althing will be on January 10 2016 and will be held in the Shire of Burning Skies. For this althing she wishes the populace to participate in here next monthly competition called “Amtgard headgear”. People are encouraged to make top hats, guido’s, monster hats, etc as long as it sits on a persons head.

A motion to close the althing was made by King bearrug and seconded by fumbles.
